Led by Waldorf Early Childhood Educator Maria Kata, our diverse programs lay the foundation for children to grow into compassionate, confident, life-long lovers of learning, nature, and each other!

​Family Programs

~Parent & Child Classes~ 

Caregivers attend with their children ages 1-3 to engage in a community-building program that includes free play, bread-baking, snack, and circle time. We engage in supportive discussions related to child development, parenting topics, and building a healthy home life.

  • Fridays, 10am - 12

  • 6-week sessions

  • $240 per family

~Firefly Playgroup~

For caregivers and their children ages 4-7. A blend of our Parent Child and Kindergarten classes, Firefly Playgroup includes artistic activities, seasonal celebrations, extended playtime and circle time geared to older children.

  • Tuesdays, 9:30 - 12:30

  • 6-week sessions

  • $360 per family (up to 2 children; $30 supply fee for each additional child over 4yrs.)

~Family Firefly Art Workshop~

For parents interested in experiencing the magic of Waldorf artistic activities with their children ages 5+! This offers a great support to homeschooling families as we engage in wet-on-wet watercolor painting, crayon drawing, knitting, sewing, wet-felting and seasonal craft projects. 

  • 1 or 1.5-hour weekly classes

~Firefly Artistic Enrichment Clubs~

Weekly afternoon classes focused on handwork and artistic activities typical of a Waldorf Curriculum such as finger-weaving, knitting, sewing, wet-on-wet watercolor painting, block crayon drawing, beeswax modeling, wet-felting and seasonal crafts.

  • 4-week sessions

  • All premium quality supplies provided

  • Choose 60 or 90 minute classes 

  • Trial classes available!

Ages 5-9:  *Tentative schedule. Please share your preferences here or on our application form!

  • 1pm - 2:30 or 3pm - 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays

  • Saturdays: Time TBD

Ages 7-12:​

~Firefly Oasis Pre-K/K Program~

Our joyful mixed-aged Kindergarten offers a  developmentally-appropriate setting where children build their physical, intellectual, and social-emotional capacities. Our predictable rhythm of rich sensory experiences, self-directed play, teacher-led activities, and experiential pre-literacy and numeracy exposure offer a beautiful setting where children thrive as they develop a strong foundation for future learning.

  • ​Ages 3.5 - 6 (Independent in the bathroom)

  • 9am - 12pm

  • 2, 3 or 5 days per week
